Dark Days of Winter Eat Local Challenge meal #1

So, here it is, meal #1. Doesn't exactly look like winter does it? It doesn't really feel like winter here either. It's been warm, and in the 70's since we've been home. So, some homemade pizza was in order! :)

Your pizza looks wonderful!. I found your blog through the challenge links. DH grew up in Huron County. I'm totally taking notes on your localfood shed for for the next time we're in the thumb.

LOL!! Thanks for the support you hungry lot!! :) It was delicious!

2boysmom-Hi! I know you're familiar to the area when you refer to the area as "the thumb!!" Anyone not from around here kind of looks at you with a blank expression if you use that phrase!!

I went to your blog, and read your post on your husbands eating habits and how he ate when growing up and had to laugh! It is so true! Surrounded by fields with nothing to eat!! Even now, none of my local sources are in Huron County, they're all in neighboring counties.
