Linky-Lou
I don't seem to have much to say lately. But there is alot going on in blog-land so I thought I'd share some of what I've come across lately.
p~ wrote an interesting post on walmart and reusable bags the other day. He's asking us to help him take on Goliath, so to speak. If you'd like to read about my experience with walmart and reusable bags, check out my comment on his post.
If you're looking for ways to green up your life and ditch the plastic, check out frugalmom's blog. She's taking part in a challenge right now and has lots of good posts on the subject.
I rec'd my calendar from Sugar Creek Farm yesterday, and it is beautiful! Great Job Kelli! If you're in the need for a calendar or looking for a great gift, check it out. Phelan also has a farm calendar available which looks wonderful as well! (Sorry Phelan, I saw Kelli's post first!! :) I may just be putting a calendar in every room this year!! :)
If you're like me, you like to give at this of year. Pattie is no stranger to watershed issues, particularly with the drought this year. She has two great posts on charities that tackle watershed problems around the world. Go here and here to learn more.
And someone feeling the personal and financial burdens of the drought is Nancy at Losing Our Shirts, Keeping the Farm. It's heartbreaking reading about how she cannot afford to feed her animals (the drought has raised the price of hay to astronomical proportions) and no one will buy her beautiful horses because they cannot afford to feed them either. If you're looking for somewhere to donate a little something this year, go to her blog and click that donate button.
And finally, check out Free Rice. Help feed the world while improving your vocab! I warn you though, do this when you have some time to spare, because it's addicting!! (Thank you Pattie for posting about it, I never would have found it without you! :)

No fair, you got yours before I got mine! So I haven't yet seen the actual calendar in print - glad to hear it turned out okay. Thank you so much :)
no worries, I have tshirts as well. ;) My favorite would be the one in Latin. ha!
At the Caro Walmart they have a bin where you can return the plastic bags for recycling. Don't know if Bad Axe has this or not..it's by the bottle return area.
Oooh, I like your Fre Rice button. I have to add tha to my blog, too! Thanks!
wow, the free rice button is addicting!!!
Angie, Thanks for the link, you obviously have a lot more readers that I, my hits bumped a bunch today. Anyway any help I can get with my efforts are appreciated.
