DDWELC meal #18

I've made a lot of soup this week, the third week of illness here on the 'stead. Luckily, we're all on the upswing. This soup is my little man's favorite, hands down. Of course, he never eats anything the way he digs into his potatoes, in any form. We're going to have to become potato farmers to keep up with him and his father.....I'm dreading the voracious teen years!!! :)

Creamy Potato Soup with homemade bread.

Oh my goodness. That looks fantastic. Does the butter and cream serve as the soupy part or is there a bit of potato water in there too?

amber-I can do a post on the recipe if you would like. It's an adapted crock pot recipe.

kelly-yes, there is about 5 cups water used in this recipe.

Mmmm! Thanks for sharing this recipe. I can't wait to try it on a freezing cold day. I especially like the idea of adding fresh tasty bacon, too.

twinville-It really does hit the spot on cold days, and the bacon makes it, I think.
